Appalachian Exposures | About

Born and raised in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains I have spent most of my life, hiking, kayaking and horseback riding in these beautiful blue hills. I have a passion for the great outdoors and it was from that, I developed my passion for photography.

In February of 2012 I had the opportunity to put this hobby to great use. I used my photography to raise money for my first mission trip to Arequipa. Peru. Since then I have been able to support several non profits such as, a feeding program for underprivileged children, Mitchell County Animal Shelter, JAARS Inc, Project Healing Waters, Team River Runner, Special Olympics of Avery County, Camp Funshine, Aktion Club of the Carolina's.  This has all been possible because of photography. It is now my goal each year to pick one organization I truly believe in to work with.

2018 I will be working with WNC High Peaks Trail Association to raise money for a new sign maker.  This will allow us to keep our local trail systems safely marked and easily navigable for everyone.  $3,000 goal.  To learn more please email
